I’m Lisa, nice to meet you!
I grew up in Austria and always dreamed big of travelling the world (Funfact: When I was around 12 years old, I took a little jar & wrote “dreams” on it – and one of those dreams actually was “a trip around the world”, so I guess you can see where this is going haha).
In 2019 I spent a semester in High School in Canada and as soon as I came back, I wanted to go to Australia. Well first, I had to graduate High School in Austria and then the pandemic hit, so I ended up working in a law firm for a year. At some point I wanted nothing more than to leave the country, so I quit my job and moved to Portugal.
In Portugal I was also working full-time, but it was very different (and a lot better) than working in Austria. I made friends from various countries, started surfing, surf skating, dancing Salsa and even had some time to explore Portugal and other parts of Europe too. I absolutely loved living in Lisbon, but I knew I wanted to see more. And if I wouldn’t leave now, I probably would just stay in Lisbon because I loved it there so much. Soo, I quit my job once again and that’s where my travels began.
Fast forward a couple months – and I am sitting in a hostel in Nicaragua and deciding that I want to share more insights and stories from my travels. I am happy about each and every one of you who tags along and follows my journey around the world. And maybe I might even inspire one or the other to go and do the same – get out there, follow your dreams and see the world!
